Coolers are best practice but trash cans or other containers with lids will work.

Keeping the fish cool during transport reduces stress so black containers are not recommended.

Do not fill with tap or well water because it isn't oxygenated and can cause temperature stress.

An 8 degree difference in water can shock and possibly kill fish.

Try to release fish as soon as possible after pick up.

1 acre or less fish stocking orders will be picked up at the Indianola NRCS office May 11th. Please bring a cooler or container with your fresh pond water to transport your fish. Orders for stocking larger than 1 acre ponds will be delivered directly to your pond for a delivery fee between $50-$100-Date determined between you and supplier.
