Silver Maples are a very fast-growing tree. Thier leaves are green on top and silvery-white on the underside, shimmering and dancing in the breeze. They tolerate a wide range of soil conditions. Because of a vigorous root system, plant them 10' or more from sidewalks, drives, foundations, and sewer lines. They grow to 50 to 80 foot tall with spreads 2/3 of thier height to wider than the tree is tall.
